A small koala running down a moonlit forest trail toward glowing leaves and wooden crates

What it is like

The koala from Koala Leaf Smash heads off on an endless forest adventure, with the same little model and familiar koala sounds. Follow it along a moonlit trail, gathering glowing leaves, hopping over obstacles and spinning through crates. Random key presses help with steering, jumping and spinning so a keyboard smash keeps the adventure going. Children ready to take the controls can steer with the left and right arrows, jump with the up arrow or space bar, and spin with the down arrow. There are touch controls too. Leaf milestones bring little celebrations, with no lives, countdown or game-over screen. A grown-up can pause, mute the sound or use fullscreen. Free to play, with no ads, accounts or tracking inside the game.

What we liked

  • Keyboard smashing helps the koala steer, jump, spin and collect leaves
  • Arrow keys and space give older children direct control, with touch controls for tablets
  • No lives, countdowns or game-over screen; play can stay playful
  • Pause, mute and fullscreen controls for a grown-up
  • No ads, accounts, analytics or purchases in the game

What to know

  • No parent lock: fullscreen does not block browser or system shortcuts
  • A moving 3D scene is busier than the original, calmer Koala Leaf Smash
  • Best enjoyed together; very young children may need help finding the controls

Verdict

A forgiving forest runner for small hands, with helpful keyboard smashing and proper arrow-key controls when they are ready.

Best for: Keyboard smashing that grows into a first running and jumping game.
