What it is like
Tiny Hands Play is a collection for six months to nine years, and Kaboom Keys is its keyboard smash game for the youngest players: every key drops an emoji with a sound, and an ABC toggle switches to letters. The whole collection says no ads and no sign-up, and that matched what we saw. The weak spot is the exit: pressing Escape leaves instantly, so on a laptop keep a hand near the keyboard or use a keyboard cover.
What we liked
- Kaboom Keys rains emojis with sounds, and an ABC toggle switches to letters
- Part of a free, ad-free collection that grows with your child
- Can be added to a home screen as a web app
What to know
- Escape exits instantly, so there is no real parent lock
- Loads Google Fonts, and there is an optional donation link
Verdict
Best "one bookmark for years" option; weakest on lockdown.
Best for: One site that lasts from toddler to early school age.
