What it is like
My Baby Wonder is mostly a site of baby calculators and milestone guides, but its "Wonder Arcade" includes a well-made smash game. A Start button takes it fullscreen, four themes (confetti, bubbles, garden, fireworks) change the effects, letters are spoken aloud, and a Parent button opens a panel with resume, share and exit, so a toddler cannot simply tap out. The catch: the rest of the site runs display ads. We saw none inside the game, but the arrangement could change.
What we liked
- Parent button opens a panel with resume and exit, so the toddler cannot just tap out
- Four themes and musical notes on every key
- Letters are spoken aloud
- The site says its games keep working offline
What to know
- The wider site runs Google AdSense; we saw no ads inside the game, but that can change
- Dark, magazine-style pages around the game are aimed at adults, not kids
Verdict
Feature-rich and well built; keep an eye on the ads around it.
Best for: A tablet on a stand, once you have checked the ad situation yourself.
